Jay H's Testimonial

Hello my name is Jay and I was addicted to substances for forty-six years, before I started a life of recovery in December 2021, I was homeless and living at the Sullivan arena, when I met the co-founders of Leave the Forward operating base ministries at the Sullivan arena in the spring of 2022 and joined forces with them in serving our communities of Anchorage that are in need. since becoming a volunteer, and then, a director on the board with leave the Forward Operating Base Ministries, I have grown exponentially in my walk with Christ Jesus. My connections with our Anchorage communities, has branched out to include working with our surrounding communities in recovery, Law enforcement, Therapeutic Courts of Alaska, re-entry centers and non-profits, local churches, and villages of Alaska. Volunteering with Leave the Forward operating base has changed my life from being self-serving, to being of service to others, and in doing so, has brought my recovery, to long term sobriety! I have a full life with work, marriage and being of service to our communities of Alaska. Thank you Leave the Forward Operating Base Ministries, for showing me, that we truly are not alone in our tests and trials of life.
